who is jjjahel?

my name is dante jahel verdin. i am the creator and brand owner of jjjahels. i felt compelled to write this for those interested in learning more about myself and about what this is all really about.

i was born in guadalajara, mexico, immigrated to the united states with my family at age 3 and lived in in all corners of southern california. from compton, east la, northridge, to eventually where i spent most of my adolesence, lancaster california. i eventually moved up and out and now live and breath in long beach ca.

i'm not gonna dump my life into this online blog post. just know that all my life i've felt very misplaced, in fact, my existence has always felt like its been in contention, which has in tern has made me a very tumultuous person, for better or for worse. a positive side effect of that has been its made me a very passionate person. especially for music, design, and for the world. 

the idea for jjjahels came to me on a cold october night in 2021. ill spare you the details, just know in that time i seen hell, failure, missteps, growth, and learning. it was a challenge but we got to this point here, i know im writing about these past two years as if they were bad, but to be honest with you, they were necessary. crucial to me being here today. theres so much growth and so much ahead of me.

this is just the start of something that i aim to build and transform into what i see in my head. thank you for everything.
